What is Emotional Freedom Technique?

EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a simple yet effective healing system that shares the same principles as the ancient art of acupuncture to treat physical and emotional ailments.

It is a powerful psychological acupressure technique based on the discovery that emotional trauma contributes greatly to stress and diseases. It has proven itself successful in many scientific studies. It works on a variety of health issues, including anxiety or stress issues and performance issues.

Studies have shown that EFT is able to rapidly reduce the emotional impact of memories and incidents that trigger emotional distress.  Once the distress is reduced or removed, the body can often rebalance itself, and accelerate healing.

The methodology is very simple to learn as it involves light tapping on certain trigger points in a simple sequence on the body that correspond to acupuncture points on the energy meridians. The method can be used as a self-help tool as well as for loved ones.  In this session we will learn:

• The simple process or the beginners recipe which allows you to begin practicing these techniques immediately,
• Tips and tools for enhancing your success with the technique,
• Focus on common’s issues such as stress, self-confidence issues, performance or focus enhancers, reducing fears and other emotional limiting beliefs.
• No prior knowledge about meridians is required.

There will be plenty of time to practice and discuss issues relevant to you to ensure you go home with the best support to begin trying out your new found skills!

About Shirley:

Shirley is a practitioner of Hypnotherapy and a certified practitioner in Meridian Therapies (Emotional Freedom Techniques) with the Association for the Advancement of Meridian Energy Therapies (AAMET), United Kingdom.  She is an experienced workshop leader both in the corporate world and more recently with the Reiki Centre.  She also teaches Kundalini Reiki and has a passion to heal and serve.

No prior Reiki knowledge is required to do this course.

During the Workshop, only one attunement is required to activate the participants to Kundalini Reiki.  The treatments are very quick, just 5 minutes in duration which means a great deal of ground can be covered during the day.  This is a fast paced workshop and we will learn the following:

Students learn how to:

1. Give a Reiki energy treatment to themselves
2. Give a Reiki treatment to others, and other living things
3. Give distance healing to others, and other living things
4. Clear space (offices, home, workshop rooms etc) to provide more balanced energies
5. Clear past blockages such as situations, uncomfortable relationship ties, past trauma etc.

The attunement and meditations are extremely calming and healing so the day itself is a wonderful healing experience and opportunity to de-stress, have fun and learn a fantastic tool for life!

Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a towel to lie on.  It is recommended that no alcohol is taken 48 hours prior to the course.

Reiki 1 is the foundation course for activating the Reiki flow in your hands.  This course is ideal for anyone wanting to increase their vitality and energy and reduce stress.  Reiki is so easy to use that it is ideal for lay people who are not familiar with natural health and methods of healing as it provides an excellent foundation for exploring other types of modalities.  The weekend is very experiential with exercises, practice and sharing of techniques and ideas.

At the Reiki Centre we teach the traditional Usui method which requires no belief, religious bias or spiritual background.  Our approach is grounded and thorough and there is plenty of time to ask questions and explore Reiki for yourself.

During the Workshops we will explore the Reiki phenomenon and energy, healing, disease, and our internal energy systems.  The Workshop also has plenty of interactive sessions to practice giving Reiki treatments to get you comfortable with your new found skill.

Anyone can activate Reiki in their hands and after the course your Reiki is accessible to you for life.  This is a very interactive and relaxing course.  The Workshop itself is a great healing experience and a wonderful way to take your health to the next level!

What to expect in a Reiki Class

This course will help you access your intuition in a fun and interactive way through the building of an ‘imagination workshop’ in your mind.  Its a very easy process but will yield surprising results!

In this class you will build your ‘Imagination workshop’ and gain access to inner wisdom and information.  For some people the ability to play with imagination is a liberating and delightful experience, for others it takes them into depths and journeys.  To all it is a day of fun, uncovering your subconscious wisdom and learning a new life-long skill.

Karen will be using her skills as a Hypnotherapist to help you gain the depth required to access your right, intuitive brain.  Simple techniques are taught that help to shift your thinking from logical left brain to fluid and creative right brain, the ‘Imagination workshop’ is the perfect place to increase your intuitive or diagnostic abilities, create and visualize goals, get feedback from your inner guides, and just to hang out and experience deep relaxation.
